I started the Naturopathica 30-day skincare challenge on January 23rd, so I’m 2 weeks in (wow, I’m in awe of the fact that it’s been two weeks already). I wanted to share some updates, as well as share the love by spreading the word about their Valentine’s Day giveaway!
30 Day skincare challenge update
These Naturopathica products fit very well into my current natural skincare routine. I use the Plant Stem Cell Serum every night after washing my face with my Clairsonic and the Aloe Cleansing Gel. The Plant Stem Cell Serum isn’t meant to be used alone: its main purpose is a treatment, so I need to use a heavier moisturizer on top. The Rosemary Oil-Reducing Moisturizer is a great light moisturizer for the morning, and I’m finding that it is helping to control my oil throughout the day as it promises. I love the smell of it, too. Finally, I’m using the Oat Facial Polish maybe two or three times a week, basically whenever I feel like my skin needs a gentle exfoliation.
It’s really difficult to know whether something is working or not when you’re the one looking at your face every day, so I wasn’t sure how it was going until a friend (who didn’t know about the challenge at the time) told me that she thought my skin was looking better. After more self-reflection, I have noticed that my skin texture is more even, and my scars are fading a bit more. I wasn’t sure whether this was due to my fruit and veggie-heavy eating and cutting out dairy and meat since the new year, or whether it was the skincare challenge. It’s probably a combo of both, but I’ll take it! Either way, I really feel like I’m taking good care of my skin when I use my Naturopathica regimen kit.
