I came across this fall 2011 color chart on Pantone.com and I just had to share it. I’m extremely excited by all of the rich jewel tones that we should expect to see in fashion and makeup, home goods, etc! I find jewel tones to be very sophisticated and almost regal. Lucky for me, jewel tones work well with my skin tone.
Bamboo will be great for accessories. I may have to pick up a bamboo/mustard colored handbag this fall; I’ve actually wanted a yellow shaded purse for a while!
These colors are quite vibrant, and I’m not sure I see myself adding pieces of clothing to my wardrobe using this color palette, other than the one mentioned above. I tend to keep the main pieces of my closet neutral. Think whites, greys, black, navy… and then I like to accessorize with fun colors. I’m anxiously awaiting fall 2011 jewelry! :)
I would love to see phlox in a nail polish. It has a dark yet bright grape-y feel and really speaks to me.
Zoya’s fall Smoke and Mirrors nail polish collection has a lot of deep purples, greys, and a darker army green that hints at cedar.
